What is Paverpol?
Paverpol is a sculpting medium that allows fabric and fibre to be shaped into permanent works of art. Originally developed in the Netherlands, it is a liquid textile hardener that turns soft materials into strong, durable forms once they dry. The process is hands-on and intuitive, using simple materials like fabric, wire, and found objects to create pieces full of movement and texture.
What draws many people to Paverpol is how approachable and creative it feels. There is no single “right” way to use it. Each piece is shaped by hand, guided by imagination, and completely unique. It combines the softness of fibre art with the structure of sculpture, making it a fascinating medium for anyone who enjoys working creatively with their hands and exploring new ways to express ideas in three dimensions.
